In warmer temperatures, I don’t usually cook, but if someone wants morning coffee or a hot meal, we can coordinate and share the weight of carrying one stove and fuel canister. If you are planning a hot meal for breakfasts or dinners, I recommend oatmeal and freeze-dried meals. Please bring any additional cooking items (cup, spoon, etc.) you may need for your meals.

Understand that water is good, but it is dangerous if you drink too much water without electrolytes. Balance your water intake with electrolytes. In rare cases, drinking
an extreme amount in a short time can be dangerous. It can cause the level of salt, or sodium, in your blood to drop too low. That's a condition called hyponatremia. It's very serious, and can be fatal. You may hear it called water intoxication.
Note: In camp, food must be stored in the cans provided to prevent the animals and birds from getting at it. Backpacks should be hung from the pack trees available in each campsite with the zippers open to keep animals from chewing through it.
